What would you consider the best books on the subject of resoration? I need it all. Looking at a '70 E-type that I allowed to sit for too long.

Thanks

The best restoration book is the original service manual together with the S.C. parts group catalogue. ( S.C. parts Group, 13 Cobham Way, Gatwick Road, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 2RX. England. Costs about £7.00 ).
Philip Porters 'original Jaguar E-Type' is packed full of info, photos and production changes info.

I really like "The Complete Official Jaguar 'E'" from Rober Bentley

Philip Porters book is full of inaccuracies which he admits himself, it never shows the exact part you want and is just a glossary of the cars.
I have a '61 ots and have found the original parts book to be a a big help along with Thomas haddocks 6 & 12 cylinder restoration guide to be about the best available.
