series 1 1/2 Headlamp conversion

How easy is it to convert a series 1 1/2 open headlight version to a closed version with wrap around headlamp covers.

any idea of the cost and where to obtain series 1 headlamp covers etc.

Alternatively, you can have a body shop fabricate the flanges that are needed to mount the glass covers onto your bonnet, which will require welding and re-painting of the bonnet.

Third alternate is to purchase a S1 bonnet and paint it and intall this on your S1.5 car. there were a lot of S1 cars that ahve their covered lights taken off to retrofit S1.5 bonnets so they could see better at night. These may be all rotted or used up, but a search my turn up one or two.

Lastly - new S1 front wings can also be purchased from one fo the manufacturers or reproduction body panels, which you cnould then install onto your bonnet.
