6 cylinder 66 GTO?

I just bought a 66 GTO project vin 242076 which decodes to a 6 cylinder. I have never heard of a 6 cyl GTO. Does anyone have any info on how rare it is? Thanks

Your GTO is a 66 sedan(two door post), meaning there is a post that separates the door glass from the back glass. A 6 cylinder was never sold in any GTO.

You're right. Please excuse the rookie mistake. I mistook the year digit 6 for the engine digit 6. My engine digit is indeed 1 for V8. Thanks for the help. What a relief. Who would want a 6 banger GTO?
