I've got a 65 GTO convertible. Don't know much about this sort of thing, but I've been told by a collector that the numbers match(don't really know what this means). Now I've been told it is not a GTO because the front badge is on the wrong side of the car. How can this be? And does it mean the car is not a GTO?
Check the VIN # If the first digit is a "1" then it a GTO .Because all 65 GTO"s had V8 engines. If the VIN # first digit is a 6 then it is a 6 clylinder lemans. Let me know Joreka!!
