phil do you have a unbroken power antenna for 64 65 GTO Lemans... can just be antenna itself as i have a power unit but will buy both if necessary thanks Ericby e emmerich - Pontiac GTO Forum
just make sure you get a good set Dougs are one of the best for fit and finishby e emmerich - Pontiac GTO Forum
Jon I have to disagree Pontiac went to the 242 first 3 digits only in 1966 and up for the GTO line. 1965 was a different story GTO was a option on Lemans line so every 65 GTO started with 237... I have had several..... So the only way to tell is get that vin number to PHS and let that determine it I have heard that a 5N on the data plate from the firewall is a code that determines GTO optionby e emmerich - Pontiac GTO Forum
Probably not Rob for the parts you have listed For a 67 those are real specific so if someone has them they bring a prem price Hoods you can find for 200 to 300 but you may have to drive to pick up Rally 2 rims shoudlnt be real bad to get Look at Ebay for 1967 GTO search and see what prices are going Usually swap meets are no cheaper than Ebay if you watch and wait.. The best bet is try PYby e emmerich - Pontiac GTO Forum

What ever you do dont put a chebby in it there's enuff of them already Your intake dosent cover the exhaust crossover holes for the 6X heads There are some methods of covering the holes some use JB Weld to fill the holes Others molten alum or epoxy check these links and see if you can get to them to read good luck Eric [216.178.81.108] [216.178.81.108] [216.178.81.108] [216.178.81.by e emmerich - Pontiac GTO Forum
d How much would you want for the valve covers? is the chrome decent on them?? Thanks Ericby e emmerich - Pontiac GTO Forum
Kevin over on the Pontiac board at P-Y Forum there are several post about that John Berintino guy that owns Blacktie Classics and how big of a crook he is.. he sells a lot of garbage for big bucks and is just in it for the dollars..... Wish I could have got ahold of you sooner From now on you will find you will get your most honesty from guys in the GTOAA or The Pontiac-Oakland Club when buyingby e emmerich - Pontiac GTO Forum
Tim in years 65 and 64 its not real easy to tell a cloned GTO froma real one. The only real definitive way is thru the Pontiac Historical society They do checks on vin numbers for you but at a price if you need quick its $45 or thru mail $35 but its worth it so you dont buy something your not expecting.. Good luck Ericby e emmerich - Pontiac GTO Forum
Ron the width between the axles on 64 thru 66 is 60 3/4" and it maybe so for 67 also. I do know or have heard from people that know in 68 they went a inch wider.. So yes 64 to I believe 67 is 1" or so less in width than 68 up GM also not just Poncho Ericby e emmerich - Pontiac GTO Forum
The J for the engine means now a October engine build so makes it possible for a 66 car The frames for 66 and 67 are very similar very but the only difference is this In 67 Pontiac went to the 400 auto tranny which the mounting holes were farther back compared to the 66 2 speed tranny So this difference is in the transmission mounting brackets for the 67 auto car will be farther back than 66by e emmerich - Pontiac GTO Forum
Yes it is suppose to be a WS engine TO me it looks as though you have a 1965 engine as the date code of G 21 5 would be the July month in 1965 too early for 1966 engine production A is Jan, B is Feb, C is March, and so on then the 21 is the day produced so July 21st Then 5 is last digit of year so 1965 Now the YF Look at these sites for engine identification YF is a 389 and shows to bby e emmerich - Pontiac GTO Forum
got to the web sites posted I'll try and post as many as I have there are also book available good luck I'll post another tomorrow when I get to a diff PC with a god saved site ericby e emmerich - Pontiac GTO Forum
yes I believe so in 68 the book says they went to a 2" wider rear but it will also fit however there should be no problem 64 to 67 the only difference being the coil spring mounts may be a little different so if changing springs you may need the model for the rear you are usingby e emmerich - Pontiac GTO Forum

Probably not Good eye there are several things like this that can be tip offs to a fake GTO Also look for non chrome Valve covers or extra trim holes in the body where Tempest or Lemans trim goes The only way to truly tell in 64 and 65 GTO is get the PHS to fax you documentation costing about $45 using the vin number In 66 GTO became its own car with the vin number starting with 242 good lucby e emmerich - Pontiac GTO Forum
Convertible could be shell only as I have project GTO 65 that is a basket case in floors and quarters any leads on solid car will help out thanksby eric emmerich - Pontiac GTO Forum
According to a book I have , Pontiac GTO Restoration guide The heads for a GTO in 64 should have casting 9770716 on them which will be on he center port or it may just have 16 or 716 im not sure bout that Check this web site for more vin number info and in 64 and 65 always have it PHS verified lot of scammers out there not saying this is one though good luckby eric emmerich - Pontiac GTO Forum
