<HTML>Ok, got my gallon of Diamond Plus paint sealant from Bud, and finally got to try it out today.
Tried it on two vehicles, my 96 Explorer and the wifes 94 Nissan.

The Explorer was buffed about two months ago so was not buffed this time, the only prep that was done was an acid/alkaline wash , and washed with a neutral ph car wash. The clear was already in a good condition so just put that sealant straight on. It is VERY easy to apply, just put it on, let it haze and wipe it off, gives a very nice shine . How easy to apply ? My 6 year old daughter helped me put this stuff on !

The Nissan I buffed a while ago as well, but not having a clearcoat needed doing again, buffed with Malco's Tru Grit to remove the oxidation , then swirl removal with 3M , then applied the paint sealant.

Heres the Nissan, black in color, looking down on the hood from above.

And here is one from the side.

<HTML>Great shot Jim absolute beauty. Now help me with understanding the acid /alkaline wash and neutral ph wash. I've heard it before dealing with acid rain removal/repair could you e-mail the steps/purpose and also when not to use the method plus products you are currently using. Thanks</HTML>
<HTML>Which 3m product did you use, true grit is some harsh stuff!!!</HTML>

<HTML>it's just called 3M Scratch Remover, got it from the local auto store., as I wasnt at work when I did the truck.

We have been usning Tru Grit for about two months now and it is harsh but it is excellent for removing oxidation , acid rain etc.</HTML>

<HTML>Keep us posted on this. I have tried the product as well and agree with everything you say as it relates to ease of application and shine. I have experienced a problem with the durability of the product. In some cases the sealant did not last 6 washes. I have had a customer ask for a reapplication of the product or a different wax applied. I seem to be the only one using this product that has had this experience.</HTML>
