Taillight Lens plastic conditioning...

Posted by Toddco Bodywerkes
Another neglected area of concern while detailing. A lot of tail light lenses can be brought back to life with using the right brand of product. Most companies sell a plastic cleaner along with a plastic polish. This type of polish is different than the other polishes that are used to polish paint. The same result can be maintain if done properly to the plastic lenses.

For a maintenance area, Plexus plastic cleaner can be used on a regular basis in maintaining their gloss rather than that dull faded finish that neglected tail light lenses can become.

I just polish and wax them (the headlights too) when I do the rest of the car. Keeps them shiny and new.

polymer paint sealant also seems to do well if there isn't any plexus around.
