Selling used car tips...

For the people that want to get the best price on their vehicles prior to selling them. These tips are might help you out.

1. Cleaning the vehicle inside out with a good soap & vacuuming job.
2. Cleaning the widows prior a customer coming right over to see the vehicle, a good rubbing alcohol will sparkle the glass for that first impression.
3. Removing any debris under each wheel well & treating the inner plastic panels with a rubber protectant.
4. Dressing the tires right before the customer arrives, treat the tires a few times first.
5. The week prior to putting the ad out or putting the for sale signs on, polish & wax the exterior surface, clay the surface if necessary.
6. Remove any soil spots on the interior if possible.
7. Dress the exterior plastic trim a few times for the protectant to really soak into the surface.
8. Cleaning the engine compartment of all oil & grease buildup.

This all sounds like a full detail job & can easily turn out to be that. Just a few items before the customer arrives can make a big difference on your sale. Never let the customer tell you what's wrong with the vehicle such as tears, or dents. Always first state that this price is for as is. It isn't a 2001 or 2002 model. People tend to forget what they are purchsing & try turning the tables around. Don't fall for this trick.

A little cleaning can really make a big difference!

after all that work it may look too good to sell!!!
That is one of the problems that I entale on a yearly basis. Customers have me detail their vehicle that they want to sell. After getting it back, they decide on not getting into any more expensive payments. They do have a very good point.
