<HTML>Im sold on the menzerna polishes. Ive been a meguars user for compounds and polishes until now. I just ordered some power gloss, cant wait to try that. Today I buffed the hood of a severely spider swirled black suburban, used the intensive polish w/ the high speed, green "in betweener" foam cutting pad, and wow, hardly any follow up swirls to deal with, just a quick couple passes with the final polish to get a beautiful finish. Im sold. It costs more, but you use less. If intensive polish did that, Im cant wait to see what powergloss can remove.

Of course on a heavily oxidized finish like the car Joe did from the wwII era, you wouldnt need such a product, since your just trying to get the dead paint off and into the wool pad.\

Has anyone here tried optimum spray wax? Curious to see how that works, would be nice if it does what it says in the description.

<HTML>Dan,

Yes Menzerna is a very nice line of polishes. The PG is rather coarse and dusts up quick but it also cuts pretty quick also.

They can be used on the new ceramiclear paints also.

If you liked the Menzerna polishes then you will also love the Optimum Polish. It does everthing the Menzerna IP does PLUS finishes out like the Menzerna FPII. So instead of two polishes you have only one.

I swirled this black Lexus hood with a wool pad to see how the new Optimum Compound would work. It removed the majority of the swirls on the first pass with an Optimum orange power pad.

I then used a Opt green polishing pad with Optimum Polish and then used Opt Polish again with an Opt white fine finishing pad. So two products with 3 pads removed the swirls and it was then ready to wax. All work was done with the rotary.

Lastly, YES the Optimum Spray Wax does everything it claims. Now I will not claim it lasts 5 months as I have not tested that claim but I can wax a car in 10 minutes, it does give a beautiful deep gloss, it doesn't turn anything white with residue, is paint shop safe, can be used on glass and windows and it contains UV absorbers. Awesome product......and I was its toughest critic at first!! smiling smiley

<HTML>lol Joe.....yeah those are pretty ugly huh? Actually is was kinda odd seeking to put swirls INTO a painted hood.....it was funner to put them in than take them out though smiling smiley

rsr....

Go to image shack and sign up. Then down load your pictures into your viewer on their website. Once downloaded you will then be offered a few choices...."links" actually to right click and copy, you can then post these into the website you desire.

For this specific website you need to right click and copy the link that reads "sites" and not forums......again don't right click and copy the link that reads "forums" for this particular website as it will not work.

Hope that helps,

<HTML>Thanks for that info Anthony. Like I said Im super stoked on those new compounds. Ive actually had the menzerna polishes for 2 years sitting on my shelf, got a wild hair and decided to try them again. Glad I did!! Glad to hear the optimum spray wax works great, Im going to pick up a gallon.

Thanks for those awesome pictures. Its a tough situation to get quality before and after shots with the sun being just right and what not. I appreciate those, and like Joe, I stole them!LOL Would you mind if I used them on my website? The best pictures Ive gotten with my work are these, and they arent even that great, but do provide the customer with what is possible.

Once again, thank you Anthony!
