<HTML>Ketch,

Thanks very much for this information.

In the sidewall bulletin you mention:

"There are additional, 'specialty products' available for use when vehicles are not driven sufficient distances or at speeds to created the designed in 'blooming' of the protective 'micro-wax'. "

This is the first I'm hearing of such products. I assume these are other than PDMS dressings. Tell us more about them.</HTML>

<HTML>Bill,
The actual is not a dressing, but a special coating, that has been tested and approved by the U.S. Military, used by them today..

It is very close to our ValuGard UV Gard, but does have the military's approval.

Compared to a PDMS,which, unike our UV Gard, it is not a PDMS dressing, but a true coating, is, a few miles away, chemically, and no where close to being that which you might invision, chemically, or apperance wise.

Keep in mind, this sort of product, is "not a dressing", is not one that the enthusists, would find to their perception of what a "dressed" tire should look like.

We, at Automotive International, have been working, with these people for over 4 years, and are now their world wide representative for the product.

<HTML>Interesting, so the basic product you are talking about is more or less the equivalent of UV Gard?

A coating may sound alarming to some when put in the same sentence as tires but I trust its composition is just fine. It sounds like it is tire wax "friendly".

I'm picturing the "look" of this product to be rather matte, perhaps somewhere in the neighborhood of the matte look some describe with 303 Aerospace Protectant, perhaps even more matte, like a perfectly clean, new tire.</HTML>

<HTML>It is produces a "very matte" finish, much more than you might envision.

However, not entirely, unattractive, just not one that the enthusist type would care for.

But, then again, the product is not directed at them, but people with a concern , such as construction companies who store and have vehicles set, RV owners and the US Military.

The product is represented to provide protection for up to 4 years, or if driven, 10,000 miles.

It is similar, but not the same as the UV Gard, much thicker, more resin, more UV blockers.

We sell quite a bit of it, but mostly over seas.
