Check engine light issues

<HTML>Hey all,

Been a while, now at a dealer doing online sales, ebay, scheduling vendors, etc. Quite a change from the norm, but $$$.

Anyhoo,

Lots of check engine lights on here. I noticed over at our "recon" center, detailers are using pressure washers in the engine compartment, albeit very cautiously.

Also, they are using the "blue" tire dressing in engine, most likely containing PDMS. I read somewhere that there are TSB's regarding this issue. Something like it gets sucked into the air intake and fouls up MAF sensors and such.

Any ideas on where I can find these TSB's. Really want mgmt. to consider the way things are being done in recon to prevent costly service visits if possible.

Thanks all in advance for your great responses.

Regards,

<HTML>Using a silicone based dressing in the engine compartment is a huge no-no</HTML>
