North Orlando detail trailer set up and ready to go
June 11, 2007 02:31PM
Hello. This is the first post on the phorum, but everyone's posts and comments helped me piece together the detailing trailer my wife and I will now be working from. Everything turned out to be more expensive than we originally guessed, but after roughly $7000, we have a good quality setup that I will briefly run through here.

Pace 5x8 enclosed trailer
155 and 100 gallon water tanks
Honda engine/General pump 2700psi commercial pressure washer
Honda 2500 watt generator
5hp 12gallon shop vac
'pancake' air compressor

Thats basically it other than chemicals brushes and small incidentals. The larger tank is of course to supply the pressure washer and does a great job of it down to about 20-25 gallons. The smaller tank is actually plumbed with a fill and drain line into the front tool box. In the box is a basement sump pump. I have a long sandbag made from lay-flat hose filled with sand that dams the water from washing to be sucked up by the pump and hose. I can then drain the dirty water tank at a brick and mortar car wash here and comply with the EPA. Thank you guys for all of your help and I'll be sure to be a regular here.

Russell-
Welcome to the forum. I'll leave it to others to comment on your set-up.
Good luck in your new business.
