CALIFORNIA LABOR COMMISSION SWEEPS DETAIL/CARWASH BUSINESSES
May 25, 2010 07:30PM
The California Labor Commission recently conducted another unannounced sweep of detail and car wash businesses in California to determine if the businesses were registered in compliance with the California mandatory registration law. The total amount of fines levied were $770,000 +

While making the sweeps the agents find numerous other violations that result in high fines. The fine for not registering is $10,000 and other fines levied result in penalties from $1,000 to $17,000.

So far the sweeps conducted by the Labor Commission have resulted in $3.2 million + in fines.

And the business owner is personally responsible for these fines meaning they cannot escape them through bankruptcy.
