Don't Mess With Old Timers

An old prospector shuffled into town leading his tired old mule behind him.

He headed straight for the only saloon in town to clear his dry throat.

He tied his oldmule to the hitching rail and as he stood there, brushing the dust off his face and clothes, a young gunslinger came out of the saloon with a gun in one hand and a bottle of whiskey in the other.

He looked at the old man and laughed, saying, "Hey old man, have you ever danced?"

The old man looked up at the gunslinger and said, "No, I never did dance, never really wanted to."

The gunslinger grinned and said, "Well old man, you are gonna dance now," and started shooting at the old man's feet.

The old man not wanting to get his toes blown off, wisely started hopping around like a flea on a hot skillet.

The crowd that gather, along with the gunslinger were laughing, fit to be tied.

When his last bullet had been fired, the young gunslinger, still laughing, holstered his gun and turned to go back into the saloon.

The old man, turned to his pack mule, pulled out a double-barreled shot-gun and cocked both hammars.

The loud clicks carried very clearly through the desert air.

The crowd stopped laughing immediately.

The young gunslinger heard the sounds too, and turned very slowly to face the old man, the silence almost deafening.

The crowd watched as the young gunslinger started at the old man and the large gapping holes of the twin shotgun barrels.

The barrels of the shotgun, never wavering in the old man's hands he said quietly, "Son, have you ever licked a mule's ass?"

The gunslinger shallowed hard and replied, "No sir....but.....I have always wanted to!!"

MORALE of the STORY

+ Never be arrogant
+ Don't waste ammunition
+ Whiskey makes you think you are smarter than you are
+ Always, always make sure you know who has the power
+ Don't mess with old men, they did not get that way by being stupid

Love a story with a happy ending, don't you?

Regards
Bud Abraham

Kinda reminds me of Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino. You never know what the old-timer is packing....
