faded rubber molding

I will be doing a car that has dis-colored and faded black rubber molding. has anyone used a product that is suppose to have colored dye in it?I heard that is changes the color, opposed to any conidtioner that only treats it, and eventually wears off, then it looks just as bad. Thanks guys

In my opinion, non of these products will last very long. A decent product is Valugaurds ETR kit, you can plan on it lasting about 2 years, depending on abuse. It is a decent system because a "clear" is applied over the dye to seal it in. I would just try meguairs endurance on the rubber exterior trim and see how that soaks in. I use endurance on almost all black exterior trim becuase it doesnt streak. Good luck
