I have a 1969 series II e-type, which has been undergoing a ground up restoration. It has twin strombergs (i.e. US Spec) and I am having problems remembering where all the pipes went to around the fuel tank. What are all these pipes for and what is the little steel chamber that sits up in the wheel arch for?
Also there is a pipe that runs from the fuel tank (or chamber) to the front of the car, where does this go?
If anybody knows how this sytem works and could guide me through the re-fitting of this I'd be very very happy!!!!
P.S. I am from the UK......please don't let that put you off!!!!!!!!
