E Type series 3

Would appreciate any assistance to verify if theb series 3 e type came with a 4.2 engine which had only 2 carbs and that it was basically the 4.2 engine of the XJ6 Thanks

The Series 3 E-Type was a 12 cylinder engine. The 4.2 engine and the XJ6 engine are both six cylinders.

Hi there,

the information is not correct. Series 3 was available with 6 cylinder engine. I believe around 10 cars were build...the basic engine is nearly the same as in XJ6.
