I need to know what heads went on the 400 HO engine. I know the 670's did and i have heard the Ram Air III # 48's were almost identical can anybody help me on this also what is everybodies opinion on the 14,15,16,62 casting heads i believe they are the 335 hp heads but im not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I own a 67 hardtop with 4 speed and it originally came with the HO in it and i would like to get something similar back into it. Thanks for your time sincerely Lance

Travis has most of the numbers for you. If you go to www.wallaceracing.com you can do a head search. All the heads are listed, and as far as I know, are correct. Also, you may want to purchase a Pontiac Restoration book for head and other information when trying to match up parts correctly. ebay is a good source for parts but be careful on how you buy, check out the buyers history. If I see more than one negative feedback, I avoid them. I've purchased an extremely good set of #670 heads for around $250 plus shipping. I spent a bunch more on machining and changing the valves to SS competition valves, special valve springs, etc. Edelbrock sells a complete set of heads for around $1700 ready to bolt on. Their advantage is they're aluminum so you can get away with running at least 10.5:1 compression ration without pinging problems as compared to 9.5:1 with c.i. heads. So many choices, so few bucks !!
