1969 Ram Air III Manifold?
May 26, 2004 08:58PM
OK...so I have started to collect parts for my 69 Judge RA III. I am waiting for a restoration book that would probably tell me, but I was hoping someone here could help. First off, I am trying to go as original as possible. My car was delivered in Feb of 69.

The intake I found is PN 9794234 and the production date is k148. Can anyone verify if this is the correct PN for a RA III intake. Also, as I read the production code, I read November 14, 68. Is this correct? And, is that an acceptible range for an "original as possible restore"?

Thanks! tw

the manifold is a Ram Air II My 68 is a RA II and my
manifold has the same number's 9794234) this intake was also used on all 68 and 69 std engines Since the ram air III heads were the same as the standard manual transmission heads there was nothing exotic about their makeup.the only majer change to teh 1969 heads was a valve spring and camshaft alteration made during the 1969 production year and used part #7016853
carb for auto or 7029273 for manual. yes it is what your looking for if you could find one with dates 30 days earlyer than your car's built date is original but the way your go'ing about it is acceptable two RA engine's were interduced in 1969 and were carried over to1970 the RA III had a D port head configuration and the head part number for 1969 was 9795043 cast number #48and was also used for manual transmissons 350 hp engines the 70 RA III head carried part number 9799496 cast number # 12 the 69&70 RA III intake was cast iron part number(9794234) and was used on all 1968 and 1969 standared engines.
