synthetic oils

I just bought a 1970 ht GTO , engine and trans rebuilt, excellent condition and want to know if i can put Mobil1 synthetic lubes/oils and replace existing oils.

A good synthetic oil is the best insurance I know of for your engine. I used it in my 65 after it was broken-in and noticed it increased the cold-cranking speed. I saw no engine wear after a teardown.

My 2004 Chevy truck came from the factory with synthetic lube in the differential. It must be good stuff.
