1970 GTO Judge worth?

I have been asked by a friend of mine to help him sell his 1970 GTO Judge.
He says that all numbers match except the engine is from another 1970 GTO Judge.
He also didn't like the original orange colour and painted it red about 10 years ago when he restored it. It has 75,000 miles
He is in his late sixties and doesn't drive the car very much.
He has all of the original documents. It was sold here in Canada originally.
He said that he would like $50,000.00 American and I can have anything that I sell it for over that price.
Is this a realistic price range?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

A 70 Judge with a color change and non-matching numbers engine is not worth $50,000. Condition and originality are everything on these cars. If it's a really nice car, it could still bring in the 30's. Transmission is also important. The four-speed cars do better that the autos. Good luck to you.

What is the vin code on the front of the block? Is it a WS code 400?
A previous owner took the ram air III block out of the Judge I just bought and sold it to someone in Canada.
If I can, I might like to buy the car for the original motor if I am so lucky as to find it.

i am going to see a judge today that is for sale without the og motor or tranny he says it has a 428 in it and a 5 speed stick tranny it was a 400 with a 4 spd but any way how do i tell if its a real judge and not a clone please help me ty so much????
