Rear End Gears

I am in search of either a 3.23 or 3.08 ring and pinion set for a 1967 BOP 8.2" axle (27 spline pinion). Any ideas?

call summit racing, make sure you tell them its a BOP, different than the chevy 8.2

Thanks for the reply, but no aftermarket offers a ring gear ratio numerically lower than a 3.55 for the 8.2" 27 spline pinion BOP axle. Not Summit, Jegs, Richmond Gear, or Motive Gear. Any other ideas?

Just trying to get a handle on the whole issue.
Pontiac's are a little more work- but the parts should be out there. I went through this with mine.

what ratio do you have now?

there are 2 carriers for these, if i remember right-the big one is for 3.32 and larger(3.55, 4.10 etc). the small one is for those smaller than that (3.23, 3.08 etc.) if you have the biger one you will need to change the carrier along with the ring and pinon. Hope this helps.
