Is there any way to determine if the engine block is original (matching) -- I have a grear opportunity to purchase a 1967 GTO Hardtop in decent shape and the current owner thinks it's the original engine, but is not 100% sure. -- I do know it is a real GTO because it does have the 242 in the begininig of the vin #.
