Heads

I have a 67 GTO and I am going to be rebuilding it soon. It has 350 heads on a 400XS block. Which I belive is a Ram Air block. (If somebody can confirm this I would appreciate it.) The car originally came with the HO engine and i would like to go back to that. What type of heads go on the HO and how much would a set of these heads be? Also would the Ram Air III heads be a good head for this engine? Any advice and or knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Sincerly Lance

That motor is a 67 400/360 hp coded block. The d port heads are very adequate for that application. I have a 69 gp with 400/350 hp with #62's. Any of the big valve ram air III heads will do. Most of them give 10.5/1 compression. I might know someone with the heads you need. I will visit him and see. Usually a good set(bare but checked over) will run 200-300.00 I have an extra set of 62's but wouldn't be correct #'s for your car. If you need to know anything else email me. Thanks, Mike
