68 gto rust around window

if any one has a 68 shell leman's ..if there is no rust in rear window and under rear window tray....my 68gto i can put my hand thru the trunk to the rear seat under the rear shelf area...my gto rust'd pretty bad around rear window and from there into the trunk shelf area is completly rusting out dont want to fabricate would rather cut and replace.. any help on matter would be helpfull ive been doing auto body for about 20 years but not a expert my trade is machinest and mechanic..but want to see what other people think first..

All ya need to do is go to ames performance theyb are pontiac specialist [www.amesperf.com] is the address while your there order a catalog its a huge one and youll find all kinds of hard to find stuff! hope that helps

I have a 68 GTO, pretty decent around rear window and shelf.

I just recently started restoring my 68 GTO and I had the same problem. I found the rear window filler panel part # L174K page 129 in the Ames parts catalog. The part that had me very concerned was the package tray shelf. I looked every where and could not find one for a GTO. I did find a backrest and package shelf for a 68 Chevelle in the National Parts Depot catalog. This is a one piece unit and fit without modification. The part # is C-12971D-112A page 118.

I am now looking for the metal dash or a repair kit. I have some damage to mine where the lower windshield seal is.
