electrical issue

I have a .5amp draw on the battery with everything turned off. I have an amp meter is series with the positive battery cable. I than disconnected each fuse one at a time and the .5 amp draw was still there. I even disconnect the voltage regulator and then the altenator, still had the .5 amp draw. When I disconnected the wiring harness from the fire wall the .5 amp draw was gone. Is this normal to have a .5 amp draw all the time?

No that is not normal, You may want to look at the connector at the firewall and the harness for any defects.

You may have corrosion allow a few amps to "slip away"...clean the firewall plug with a good elec contact cleaner (radio shack) and allow it to dry before reassembly.

Just cause it looks wrong doesn't mean it wouldn't be fun!
