72 GTO manual door handle

Hi folks -

My interior restoration has come to a grinding halt and I'm embarrassed to ask this but...


How in the world do you remove the manual window crank handle? I've taken off the old door skin (ripped it off) and I've purchased new interior door skins from The Paddock but for the life of me I can't figure out how that manual window crank handle comes off.

Also, in order to lay some new carpeting...I've got to remove the floor seat belt holder. I pulled the flap down on it and it has some strange star shaped head bolt to it that no auto parts store I've been to has ever heard of. Where do I get the proper tool to remove it?

FYI there is a clip in the handle. The make a tool you slide next to it and it will pop it out. If you don't have the tool use a flat head screw driver and pry the clip off. If you have any other questions E-mail me at temallory@msn.com

It uses the same clip the door handle uses.. Its hidden in there the same way and you probably already have that figured out by now heh?
