IGNITION SYSTEM

Does any one has experience with a Vespa 400 ignition system without the contact points and the mecanical timing regulator.

No, haven't tried but sounds like might save the breaker points from wearing out as it appears to provide solid state switching presumably eliminating any arcing at the points. Also wonder if the "magnetic" system is adaptable to the Vespa 400? refer to: [magnetic2cv.chez.tiscali.fr]

I have tested the expensive MAGNETIC System.
You can find photos on the CAPACTION FRIEND PAGES using the password " V4magnetic1 ".

Then I mounted the IGNITRON 2 System , you can see it on my site and then from there go to the Selectronic site to buy it.

I now run with the Velleman Kit 2543, this ignition kit is very inexpensive.
