<HTML>I've been detailing for several years now on the side out of my home. I'm finally ready to go in with a friend on a shop. I was just wondering if anyone could give some pointers on what to look out for when looking for a shop to rent. I've found one place already. The guy says he used to rent it to some people who detailed cars, but they went under for whatever reason.by Craig Gorshe - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts

<HTML>This may be the dumbest question ever posted, but what are you guys using to clean your detailing rags? Just throwing them in the washer with some Tide and/or bleach or what? I'm talking about the white terry cloth towels. I'm just curious to know what other people are doing? Does anyone find that they get a residue on their rags from detergent? I'm not doing this as aby Craig Gorshe - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
They sell those made by 3M around here, but the biggest company that sells this service is a little crap hole dealership that sells this on the side. They do alot of the higher-end dealership cars when the dealership sells this to a new car customer. They make a ton of money off of this. The guy that owns the place drives a new silver Acura RL. Ok. I know I'm going to be seeing this soon, as I do everytime sprinklers start running. Lots of people leave their cars under running sprinklers all day and night. The water around here is very hard. They think it will just wash off the next time that they wash their car. ie: running it through the automatic car wash. I was wondering what you guys are using and or doing to fix this. I figurby Craig Gorshe - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
Thanks guys. Wayne, I was acutally looking at that same one at Lowe's last night. That's what got me wondering about this whole thing anyway. I do have experience using these at dealerships and such. I just used the one that they had there though. Now that I'm starting out on my own. Obviously I want to get the correct and best tool for the job. Hey guys. I'm a newbie here. This is my first post. I was just wondering what your opinions would be on buying either a variable speed polisher or a random orbitle one. I'm not going to be doing any serious body shop fixing. Just minor buffing and polishing of the cars. What do you think? Any models/brands that you would recommend? Thanks.by Craig Gorshe - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
