For 15 bucks I got this little 4000rpm orbital made by the Chinese at Harbor Freight today. I was quite pleased by it, hell, it was only 15 bucks and it works great. IT looks almost like a orbital sander but a little bigger.by Dan - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
You should just stick to what youre using. The microfiber works great for me because I use Klasse "aio" and the product does not make dust much at all. When a customer requests a coat of wax over the Klasse, I use #26 and remove with a terry. I then go over with a Microfiber to do the final wiping of the body. If you are still interested I get my plush microfiber towels from Ron Ketchaby Dan - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
Do you use a surgical towel initially? Then follow up with the microfiber. I find a surgical towel and stoners invisible glass to only require a few swipes with no streaking. Have you tried this? Works great for meby Dan - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
Never tried anything you just named. Well whats the deal, what product are you trying to remove with these? If its a wax suchas #26 or Gold crapp, then yeah, youre not going to like Microfiber. You should try them on the inside of the vehicle instead.by Dan - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
You wont be disapointed in the Dewalt either. You can adjust the rpm's from 1000 to 3000 at 100 rpm intervals. REMEMBER 1750 rpm is only the MAXIMUM speed you should be buffing at, not the recomended speed for "all types" of buffing. I would go with the dewalt, why say no to versatility, which is what you need, not every single stage paint is created egual and not all clear coat paby Dan - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts

When purchasing a rotary polisher, I recomend buying one in which you can adjust the RPMS. Some products work better at lower RPM's and some work better at higher. The products I like work better at 1750 RPM, however my buddy likes the Automagic products which are excellent at 1200 rpms. Its all preference, and you really wont know what you like until you start working A LOT with different sby Dan - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
Damn, allright I will jump on the band wagon and suggest something too! On pickup trucks, throw away the plastic bedliners and install or have installed a spray on or brush on bed liner. Water gets trapped in this area and causes the paint ot rust after a while. Also on the meeting points of the bedliner and the paint, the bedliner scratches the living hell out of the paint. It is also much easieby Dan - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
See, the microfiber would absorb too much product, this is why I like them on the inside of the car to absorb cleaners and stuff, they also leave no lint. As to the thong, yes that would be one sorry sight! Jack all sprawled out on the couch 40 oz. cheap beer in hand wearing a thong barely visible through your hanging belly! EEEKKK! Sorry for painting that picture in your heads guys!by Dan - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts

The vinylex works great for this, a little swipe from time to time will clean and keep it soft.by Dan - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
That sounds exactly like Klasse, made by a german chemist, applies easily, virtually no dust from removing, and I am pleased that the car washing scratches are almost gone since switching to their product.by Dan - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
Dont get me all wrong, they do have a few great products. I just cant stand their marketing. They are not designed with the commercial user n mind. Thats all bastard!LOLby Dan - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
With the product I use and the plain old terry bonnets with water wrung out of them, I can spread the stuff like butter, since the bonnets have lost the absorbing power. These are the plain old terry bonnets found at Pep boys. removing is simple with my product anyway, a couple swipes with plush valuguard towel and its perfect.by Dan - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
This is waaaaayyyy better! Stuff doesnt go unread, which is a great feature. keep it up!by Dan - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
I dont agree, I think that the terry bonnets use less product. I wet mine and wring them out then it spreads like butter babyby Dan - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
Don't you know this is a Meguairs only webstite!LOL! never tried the product you are describing.by Dan - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
Agreed, about the dressing on the dash. Did you ever notice that vinylex doesnt have this effect like the old story about armorall? Vinylex will last, I have seen with my own eyes, 5 months with periodic dusting with a microfiber cloth. Your right, if you did not notice any marring of the plastic with dilluting the compound, you shouldnt need to dress this area since it is so low to the ground,by Dan - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
Why not just by a 5 gallon container of stoner's trim shine. It has a nice natural shine that is a thick, like you were describing, not too thick, blue color, and applies easy with a sponge. Crapp doesnt stick to it much, but when it does, it easily rinses away. You can find this at Stoner's Solutions via internet at I believe, $45 per 5 gallon. A lot cheaper for everyday proffesional uby Dan - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
Just try not to spray on axles, driveshaft, gas tank,etc.. I heard overheating can occur on many undercarriage parts if applied the wrong way.by Dan - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
At Detaildepot.com they sell a product called Solv-all, it is a citrus degreaser/cleaner that removes these scuffs safely. A liquid rubbing comound in my opinion is far to agressive for plastic, you will notice that the color of the plastic is faded slighlty now that rubbing compound is applied. You can dress these areas after applying a compound, but your just covering the damage.by Dan - Auto Detailing: Secrets of the Experts
