Hi everybody, seems my 1962 OTS has been in a head-tailcollision (not sure how to say it in English, I try to say it has been hit both in the front as the rear) with the previous owner. So it looks like both body and engine-frames have to be replaced. The body is damaged in both front as rear and thouroughly rusted, the frames are bent. Therefore I'm trying to get an idea on the costs of tby clement - Jaguar E-Type Forum
Take a good look at the engines oil-sump, E-type has the big 'coffin' (don't know the name in english) part# C.16750 The MKII has the same sump but with an extra box underneath welded to it part# C.24502. Maybe somebody else knows if this is for extra oil-capacity or something. But do mind if the larger sump will fit and doesn't come to close to the ground.by clement - Jaguar E-Type Forum
Hmm, I've got the same question about a 3.4 MKII and a 3.8 S1 E-type. And how about the clutchassembly and gearbox, can I use parts of my spare MKII engine on my incomplete S1 E (no head, no clutch, no gearbox)? I know the head won't fit, but what about the rest? Hi, I just bought a '62 or '63(?) GT, nr 878328. Left hand steering and in horrible condition. It has got a fibreglass bonnet, looking like an series2 with the turnsignallights placed under the bumper although no orange color in the glasses. Any idea if this was an replacement bonnet or something? Thanks, clement.by clement - Jaguar E-Type Forum
