Lance Q, If you do decide to switch to an Edelbrock, I would be interested in buying your original carb. My ram air III is missing it's carb. Thanks. Tim Smolinski nvigroup@cox.netby Tim Smolinski - Pontiac GTO Forum
I'd go with the aluminum Becool radiator. Every 67 I've had has run hot and none of them had a/c. Make sure you've got a good fan and shroud, but that probably won't solve the problem. Get a good radiator, you'll be happy you did.by Tim Smolinski - Pontiac GTO Forum
That's awfully nice of you. Yes, I live on Vienna. Could I get your telephone number to arrange a pick-up date and time? Thanks.by Tim Smolinski - Pontiac GTO Forum
Glad I could help. I had the same problem with my '69. It's a great GTO, I'm sure yours is too. Are you interested in selling the original quadrajet carb if you still have it? Mine was replaced before I bought the car and would like to rebuild an original and install it. Thanks.by Tim Smolinski - Pontiac GTO Forum
Have you checked the rubber line that runs from the filler neck up to the trunk? This usually cracks after twenty years or so.by Tim Smolinski - Pontiac GTO Forum
Bill, I didn't mean to offend you with my comments, I just wanted to know if it was a real 428 car? It would be the only one I have ever heard of and would truly be one of a kind. You mentioned that the build sheet was under the seat, what was written on the build sheet to indicate the 428? Thanks. Timby Tim Smolinski - Pontiac GTO Forum

Bill W, I never received the faxed copy of the build sheet. Is the car bogus?by Tim Smolinski - Pontiac GTO Forum
I'd like to see the build sheet. Some people were able to pull strings and get cars built, but this would be highly unlikely on a '68 GTO. Maybe it's a Royale Bobcat and it came from the dealer with a 428, not from the factory.by Tim Smolinski - Pontiac GTO Forum
Dane, Also, non-carousel red cars seem to bring a lot of attention. Was it originally green from the factory? Verdoro, midnight or limelight green? What color interior? Timby Tim Smolinski - Pontiac GTO Forum
Please change the body style of the new GTO asap. It looks like a Sunbird.by Tim Smolinski - Pontiac GTO Forum
Dane, The Judge sounds real nice. I would put it's value in the high teens to low twenties. How much does the seller want for it? Options like ps, pdb, a/c and hideaways help the value.by Tim Smolinski - Pontiac GTO Forum
Three-speeds are less desirable than a four-speeds even though Pontiac made less of them. If it's a matching numbers car it's worth more than a non-matching. The color is interesting if it's correct. Do you have the build sheet? The value depends on a lot of factors...rust, numbers on trans, engine, carb, etc. Does it have original ram air pans? Does it run and drive?by Tim Smolinski - Pontiac GTO Forum
They made lots of Chevrolets. Hundreds of thousands of Camaros and Chevelles. I had a 69 SS Chevelle with a 396 with a four-speed and it was a great car, but my garage is full of Pontiacs now. Something about a GTO...once you drive one with a four-speed and some power options...it's awesome. My GTO's will keep up with the Chevys too...buy one.by Tim Smolinski - Pontiac GTO Forum
Ron Johnson owns a RA III expresso brown car. I don't know if it's yours, but here's his number 301-668-0101. He owns a Pontiac Parts business and has a lot of cars.by Tim Smolinski - Pontiac GTO Forum
Sand it. But don't take off the primer.by Tim Smolinski - Pontiac GTO Forum
Timmy - Do you have any 14x6 rally II's?by Tim Smolinski - Pontiac GTO Forum
All the years are great, but it all came together in 69. Get one with a four-speed and disc brakes....doesn't get much better.by Tim Smolinski - Pontiac GTO Forum
