Doug: Thanks for your reply. We'll probably wind up keeping it. We have a spare 400 from a '79 Trans-Am (Pontiac, not Olds). We found a source(s) for new Data plates from an old issue of MuscleCar Review (any idea how to contact any of the people that were there thru e-mail?). The real problem is finding the time and $ in dealing with a major restoration project.by KEN MARSH - Pontiac GTO Forum
We have a 1971 GTO convertible. The condition is fair minus, not original engine, missing data plate. The car needs a complete (frame off)restoration-including sand blasting, repair welding and new interior. The questions are: What's it worth (approximately) now? What will it be worth (approximately) after the restoration to get it to Very Good plus?by KEN MARSH - Pontiac GTO Forum
We have a 1971 GTO that we want to repair and prep prior to painting. We heard that the product "Plasti-Kote" is good for this type of repair. Please let us know if anyone has used this or something else.by KEN MARSH - Pontiac GTO Forum
