hey, These guys are correct in recommending a more drivable rear end. My daughter bought a 71 camaro that had been a former race car. The lower gears in the rearend were awful out on the road.........she could get barely 50 miles per hour out of the car and the 350 engine was just screaming. My spousal unit put a higher gear ratio rear end in the vehicle and it is really a nice ride now. Gby kath - Pontiac GTO Forum

Don't know if it will help with your car.........but I wanted to put 70 series with a ten inch rim on my 70 gto. They wouldn't fit until I put air shocks on the back and raised it up. Didn't have to cut the wheel well or anything.by kath - Pontiac GTO Forum
I have a 70 tempest (original but rebuilt 350, rust free and straight body, all original bumpers with new interior and paint). I would like to clone this baby into a GTO.
