Please address a question I have regarding a 72&amp;#039; pontiac 400 with a edelbrock 2156 intake... like the picture you can see that the center ports between intake 3 and 5 and and just behind the egr block off plate a space that is exposed and not covered by the gasket or intake. Is this correct fit up? Doesn&amp;#039;t coolant travel through these ports? Please advise.

That intake is incorrect for the engine, those holes are hot air choke ports for the Q-jet carb. He needs to check the intake application with Edelbrock and get the correct one for the engine.<br />
