The hosting site for the old Vespa 400 registry is defunct. I have set up a new link. The registry data I have is out of date since most have not updated when they but/sell. But here is the new link if you want to update what I have or want to add your car to the registry. All information is voluntary and used only for restorers who register their cars. If you register or update, I'll email you the data file I have.

This here site needs something other than sleeping pills. Not much discussion of issues. I'm doing my first 59 and have had to call several friends for help and ideas. Can pics of situations be posted? There are folks who have "been there" and have answers. Ok I'm done. Just sayin

I still maintain a Vespa 400 registry list. It may not be very up to date as new/old owners don't update the information.

Just an update, I discovered that the form handling site was no longer working and just sending spam back.
I have corrected it so should work. You do get and ad at the end of submitting but hopefully not too much of and issue.

I am looking for a wiring diagram for a Vespa 400 micro car. The wiring on the car is really messed up. Some of it has been cut off and the wiring we have left makes no sense. Any help in finding a wiring diagram would be appreciated.

I recently saw a clip on youtube with larry newbury driving a vespa 400 powered with a briggs engine. does anyone have photos of this installation? We have a 1960 vespa 400 ,the stock engine is stuck. thanks for any help.

Hello there,

I am looking for a vespa 400 anywhere between Vermont/Maine and Maryland. I am not to picky about the condition, but if it has an engine, that is a plus. It could be a restoration that has been started, or a total basket case. Please let me know if you have one sitting around. I am hoping to spend between $500 and $2500 depending on the condition and what parts are included.

I plan on putting a newer 600-1000cc engine into the Vespa and use it as a daily driver. Am I crazy? Should I reconsider? I know they have been driven from CA to Chi-town. It's my dream to daily drive a 400.

Do these have to be bias or can they be radial...If they can be radial I can get whitewalls for these cars rated at 62 mph I believe.

Missing: entire floor front to back was cut out, rear trunk and rear middle panel, includes body shell only.

Includes: doors, door handles, battery tray, gas tank and very good panels.

I still keep a Vespa 400 registry which is probably not very current as owner don't register or update or don't know about it.
Hank Pinckey of microcar club also keeps one and we coordinate data from time to time but he does not have online registration ability.
Here is a link to form which you can enter info online and it will send it to me and I can add or update the word table and send a copy back via email. It is not for comercial use, just for owner/restorers info and I only send it to registrants. Link is: [home.comcast.net]

Hello I am brand new to this site. I have just bought my Vespa 400 and am beginning to do homework for the restoration. My car has a solid body and the big issue I need to address early are rusted out floor sections (two areas basically where the driver and passengers feet are) Has any one had experience replacing sections of the floorboard? Does any have advice/pictures of restoration or info related to the floor?
