Chrome polishing

What is the best thing to use to get surface rust off, and keep it off, my chrome rims. I use "Turtle Wax Chrome Polish And Rust Remover", but it leaves the area ( where water has puddled)stained and not as shiney as the rest of the rim. The rims are less than a year old and I polish them often, and after every rain. Living in Southern Calif. we don't get that much rain. Thanks for your help.

try either naval jelly or CLR...that should work...

try 0000 grade steel wool for the rust.
