Black rustoleum paint, POR-15, "paint on" bedliner, Eastwood 'Chassis Black.' Things like that.

Some of the cheap spray on 'rustproofings' turn brown after a while and look terrible. I have used Rustoleum (brush on is better), and a rubber coating designed for tool handles with good results.

Just make sure you wash the fenderwells good, SCRUBBING with a brush and Castrol Super Clean before painting or coating. That way you aren't painting dirt that will fall off, or worse, trapping in dirt/salt etc that can cause rust.

i start with a good degreaser and use a brush if necessary. i then spray with flat or gloss black, depending what i have on hand. a final coat of rubber dressing makes them shiny or al least dark black and keeps the dirt from sticking. if you paint them, they should stay in real good shape after being sprayed with the dressing. i'll buy the cheap tire foam products that are on the clearance rack and use them in the fenderwells instead of the expensive stuff.

I, and the credits go to Toddco, use the WD-40 system on a regular basis and it works wonders! Just wash and scrub clean your whells and the spray a good coat of WD-40 (our old old friend) I believe that if no water is allowed to stay onthe whells, then less dirt will inhand stay too...
Cheers to all

I prefer to use a brush or roller whenpainting the underbody or fenderwells. Youget a better coating and no overspray.
