Wash Mitts; Real sheepskin;synthetic;cotton terry cloth...

Posted by Toddco Bodywerkes
We only use an all natural sheepskin wash mitt on all of our vehicles that we service.

Would like to hear all imputs on the above mentioned items & opinions & dislikes of each item. All imputs are appreciated.

sheepskin doesn't seem to last as long, but i do think it is very good. i like the chenille, but they seem to shed. i wont even mess with the gold cotton type because i just dont beleive the contents lables. anything synthetic, i stay away from, with the exception of the micro-fiber mit. still trying this one out.

i prefer the spun gold mitts and the cleantools mitt. i am currently testing micro-fibre mitt from germany.
One of my brother's sent me a 100% sheepskin washmitt that he uses. It's made in Australia and it's much thicker than the one's I used to use. I just love it and have been using it ever since.

We use Sheepskin for the top panels and mid panels and a chenille sponge to do the bottoms, fenders and wheels. Sheepskin is to expensive and hard to get to use it on real dirty surfaces.
Cheers to all!

where can you purchase spun gold? and cleantool mitts. Are these available on the net? stores? thanks tm

I was wondering the locale of these products, also; all I can find are the Detailer's choice stuff that carry no fiber content labels at all. Wouldn't it be safe to use one of the cotton cloths that hasn't been used for waxing yet, or would the trapped dirt be too close to the surface of the cloth (no pile to get trapped in)?

KLEENWERKS gets spun gold mitts from meguiars, cleantools mitts from A & A auto stores, and micro fibre mitts from www.properautocare.com.i use these mitts on thoroughly mantained finishes with gold class or deep crystal liquid wash.you only make suds once with these washes.
