gas tank and hup caps needed

looking for good hub caps not dented beyond repair , and a cherry gas tank for the 400. also what gas/oil ratios are you guys running in the cars. I'm hearing everything from 32to1 - 50to1 how many oz's to a gallon?? thanks for your input. rob acerjet@hotmail.com

061005 Thu 19:41 Hi, were to start, don't have a Vespa 400, looking for one, had 1961 US version in the 60s, gas tank took 4 gallons Canadian and seems to have been 5 US gallons. The Oil Distributor Assembly (ODS), 0 to 5 with 1/4 & 1/2 markings, (Part 12831, US gal. in the List of Spare Parts, pg 31). I thereby have a US ODS which in one turn of the crank pumps about 25 ml of oil. There seems to be an extra last turn of the crank. The US gal = 3.78541 litres. With the ODS set on 5, it cranks to the stop in 21 turns. If the tank holds 18.927 l and ODS oils 25 ml x 21 turns of the crank, then 525 ml of oil could be pumped into the gas. Could be 18927/525=36.10857. Gas to Oil, ratio 36:1. If it doesn't smoke, add some more oil, is your best bet, Chuck

All the Vespa instructions state 2 percent. That's 50:1. You can use more oil if you like smoke and more deposits in the system.

i have gas tank and hub caps

ok , normally in france : for on litter >one turn on the pump , you have a 2% mix , i use unlead gasoline with semy synthetic 2 stroke oil .
no problem since 1988 !!

Thanks for the help. got the hub caps and gas tank I needed. I have an extra gas tank now for sale.

I need gast tnak, windshield, rear rims, hubs, headlight bezels, anythign 400 if you got it.
