How do you get transfer paint out of your bumper? - 15 years ago

My wife's car was slightly side swiped in a parking lot which left scratches and paint transfer on the bumper. She took it to the dealer and the detail guys used something that took out the paint that was transferred making the scratches less noticeable. What did they use? I would like to get some to take out some bumper marks on my truck. Thank-you.
