71 T 37 Removal of front bezel and speedometer - 17 years ago

Hi there I have a 70 Lemnans that I just love to drive Nothing fancy in that I have kept all original with bench seat and straight 6 250 and she runs nice for me. Anyways, I am cannibalizing and old 71 T37 Lemans for parts(350 hurst manual) and I have dropped the bloody steering wheel to get out the bezel and speedometer but it does not want to come out? It seems to be stuck at the driver&
