<HTML>ok, well give me a couple of days , I'll take a couple of pics for you , that way you wont have to wory about copyright etc . got to wash both my vehicles this weekend, one black and one red . Do a bit of (very) amateur photography on the side .

<HTML>Thanks Jim! I would take the pictures myself but I don't have a nice enough camera to get a really clean close-up.

<HTML>For the record water beading on a painted surface does not necessarily mean that the wax/sealant used has good durability. My chemist tells me that the ingredients in a protection product that cause beading has nothing to do with durability. And that a car finish that does not bead still could have a great deal of protection left on the surface.

But I will have to admit that Jim's photos are really motivating and really sell "the sizzle of our business." No doubt.

How can you be 100% "SURE" your finish has protection?</HTML>

<HTML>There are no 100% slam dunk ways to tell the products are still on but appearance and changes in the way water acts on the surface are a clue. Some products don't bead, they sheet! You must know your products and your surfaces.
For the record:
Surface prep is 99% of an exterior detail. Cars come from the factory or from the paintshop without wax on them and see how they look? Many purist hotrod and classic enthusiast WILL NOT apply wax or sealant to their finish. Why? It doesn't need it. How much physical protection does a fraction of a MIL (1MIL = 1/1000th of an inch) of carnuba or polymer add?

Jim those pics are AWESOME!!

Ryan, I would get a picture of a car under a sign or tree or clouds or something and show the detail of the reflection. Anybody can but $3 turtlewax on their car and bead water, that level of reflection is the mark of a professional detail job.</HTML>
