Two part question

I've got an 89 Caddy Deville Black to do. The front fenders are some kind of composite material. Can they be treated the same as the rest of the car? Would it be alright to use a 3M hand glaze followed by finish first with a long dry time? As you can imagine there are swirls but not all that bad. I would appreciate any input.

As long as it's a painted part, go for it. "Vettes haven't had steel bodies in years and THEY polish up just fine.
