<HTML>A little bit off topic...

Have been doing a bit of research in to these hybrid engines, and was shocked to find out the cost of a replacement battery pack for one of these things.

Any where between $5000 (yes Five thousand ) and $6320 (Toyota prices), but they are warrantied for 100000 miles or 8 years. So whatever you do , dont buy used ! You could end up spending more on a new battery than what you spent on the car !!

<HTML>I believe I read somewhere that you get tax break for buying an environmentally friendly hybrid car. Have you heard this as well?

$5k for a battery -- ouch!</HTML>

<HTML>I heard that too Brian, up to $2000 or something like that.

Used car lots will have a hard time selling those things on. Wonder if they will put those used car warranties on them ! Those 30/30 things, you know, 30 yards or 30 seconds whichever comes first.

<HTML>Maybe I should trade in the Jeep for a hybrid Ford Escape. Cold use the tax break and a bit more cargo room!</HTML>
