<HTML>It is a "polymer sealant", but the name of the sealant would be helpful.

Many of these have a very short life, others have a long term life, some have enough percentage of quality resins, when applied correctly, to actually protect, other cheaper, "snake oil" ones, do as you saw, but for a very short time period.

<HTML>There are many, from easy to obtain at a auto supply store, to better ones that only through professional, trained detailers.

To name one, well, to many it is a matter of personal perception, not chemistry, of proven products.

Hang around, someone will show up and start naming their "favorites".

<HTML>ValueGard's Paint Sealant
Detail Plus' Diamond Plus
Stoner's Paint Sealant
Auto Magic's Paint Sealant

These are probably the most common "professional" paint sealants available. From learning on Auto Int's website, the paint sealant should be applied with an orbital to produce "some" heat to promote better bonding of the polymers to the finish.</HTML>

<HTML>Michael C; Brian said it all, in his post. These are the very best, of the very best.
Value Guard Sealant------ Autoint.com
Diamond Plus-----Detailplus.com

AutoMagic---AutoMagic.com they have dealers in different areas to purchase from. I think its the same with Stoner Products.

Like Brian told you in his post you can't go wrong with any of these products.

Me personnaly I like Diamond Plus, and Value Guard.

<HTML> Michael C : We've discussed these supposed miracle products in past threads so check the archives too. The concensus was that some products warranteed for one to five years specify that they must be boosted or re-applied periodically to keep the warranty in force, meaning they don't really last as long as the warranty implies.

We also determined that a dealer who sells a sealant is unlikely to face a warranty claim whether it lasts as long as claimed or not so there is no risk in giving an excessively long warranty.

Unfortunately, no one can prove that no such miracle products exist. I doubt they do so I would never pay for such a treatment. If you are interested, I'd suggest picking up some broshures on such products from various car dealers to see exactly how the warranty works and whatever else is spelled out.
Durability is only one aspect of a wax or sealant. Gloss, depth, ease of application, and staining of vinyl on accidental contact all matter.
