Paint Overspray on Leather

Paint Overspray on Leather

<HTML>A couple of weeks ago I posted about a fuel tank painter who used oil based aluminum paint on some tanks in the middle of town.

So far we've cleaned about 65 cars and have about 50 to go. We're getting pretty good at it and have had good luck using caly and 5-Star Overspray Wipes on the paint and "Goof-Off" on the trim.

Now we have a BMW 328i red convertible with black leather upholstery. Amazingly enough the guy's top was down and now there are silver "sparklies" on pretty much every piece of upholstery.

I'm figuring on trying the "Goof-Off" but I'm not real optomistic about the results.

Any ideas?

<HTML>I wouldn't be either.

You may get the overspray off, but there is a very high chance, due to the solvents used, the leather is not going to be very pretty in a month or so.

But, then again, you might get lucky and everyone ends up happy.
