<HTML>I swear i was looking through a magazine or website and I saw a little metal rod that you plug in and throw in your water tank to heat up the water. Anyone hear of this or know exactly what im talking about?</HTML>

<HTML>Go to your local feed supply store and they should have a couple of different ones there .They are called bucket heaters, been using them for over 25 years with the racehorses to heat up the mashs ,but i also use one for warming up water in my tank in the van.I have a 1200 watt (you can get a 3000 but too big for me)invertor in my van that i use to heat my steam machine and also the water while on route to jobs,it works great! They are around 40 bucks for the 1000 watt and 70 for the 150 watt . Of course thats canadian, so your price is at least half that!</HTML>

<HTML>Or... go online and search "immersion heaters". Just a key stroke away.

Plenty of sources and manufacturers. Plus, you can get info on how to use them.
