Residue

<HTML>About 4 days ago i applied a coat of sealant and cherry wax to my truck to get it ready for the winter. Today i noticed residue had appeared; alot of it. I got a call from one of my customers and she said the her car which i did last week; and said there is all of a sudden residue everywhere.

I am in new england weather and last night hit its coldest night so far. Is it actually possible for this residue to lift from the coat when it reaches extremely cold conditions?</HTML>

<HTML>My only guess is that when you removed the wax, it wasnt fully cured yet. After the car got into room temperature (in a garage) the wax started to cure and come to a haze.

<HTML>Why would you apply paint sealant and then cherry wax (whatever that is?)??

You should not have to apply wax over paint sealant.

Or, did you apply the cherry wax and then the sealant?

You must apply sealant to a perfectly clean paint finish to get it to bond. If there is wax or oil film, etc on the finish you will not get a good bond and you can get streaking.
