Zaino Question

Zaino Question
January 28, 2006 06:16AM
<HTML>I've got a new client that just bought a new Porsche Carrera S and swears Zaino the best. He had me use all the steps, he had the products. Damn, it looked good when I was done. My question is, looks and feels great but what protection does it offer?

<HTML>IMO it has one of the best durabilities of any sealant ( Klasse or Acrylic Jett (jeffswerkstatt) a close second)</HTML>

<HTML>I used to use the stuff every day until they changed their formula a couple years ago. Z-5 used to cure in 5 minutes when applied with a DA, now you need to add some curing agent and who wants to do that? The new formula would still be wet when time to wipe off.

Great stuff if your patient.

<HTML>We have a client that insists we use Zaino...so we do on his two cars. I can't really tell a difference between Zaino, applied as directed, and the Auto Magic products that we buy in bulk. But, if the customer is happy, we're happy! We apply the Zaino about every three months. Here in the Midwest, three months is about the life span of most waxes we've tried.

<HTML>Great stuff. It has a fanatical following.

I find it to be expensive and impractical in a "production" environment.

Robert, I agree with your comment: "Here in the Midwest, three months is about the life span of most waxes we've tried."

<HTML>An excellent product which I have used on many vehicles.

It is only impractical and expensive when you do not charge for the time to apply and cost of the products.</HTML>

<HTML>San Antonio Mobile Wash:

Call Sal at Zaino and ask for a lab report on the durability of the product. Most competant business folks will be happy to help you. Nothing to hide there right?</HTML>

<HTML>Zaino products are sold on the internet, that should tell you they are designed for the car enthusiast who wants to pay $50 for a can of wax and believe that it is the finest product in the world to use on their Porche or Jaguar.

Wake to reality, if you want good detail products buy from a legitimate detail chemical company. They make the best products on the market. Companies like Auto Magic, Car Brite; Granitize; PRO; DETAIL PLUS, etc.

These companies make the best there is and the prices are legitimate.

I feel compelled to dispute that last post. Zaino beat all other waxes/sealants in the Guru Reports Test. I like Zaino better than anything else I've tried. The prices are reasonable for what you get. www.zainostore.com .

I tried AutoMagic Awesome Gloss and found it durable but the gloss was anything but awesome. I tried Banana Magic from AM also, and found it produced good gloss and was easy to apply but was not very resistant to commercial car washes. I'm not going along with that claim of " best products on the market " just yet.

I have tried Zaino Z-5 on my black car and I do not see how it is better than other sealants. It does give it a deep shine, but then again, what wax doesn't give a black car a glossy shine.

Zaino was very hard to take off and did not last a long time, about a month or so.

I now use Klasse high gloss sealant glaze and I love it. It has been three months and my water still beads. It is very easy to take off also.
